Invite me to dinner

Invite me to dinner

Invite a group of people or youth who are willing to share food and recipes with others.

We need space, dishes and food ingredients, of course you can plan for how many people and should it be just food tasking, sharing recipes, competition. This can be a workshop as a one-time event, and you can plan and invite others to prepare their traditional food every month, week or at a time that suits you.

Description of activity

This activity is a great way for people to get to know each other, and not only that, but also to get to know other cultures, customs and know how to appreciate the cultural wealth of the people who are in their surroundings. This is an excellent way to break stereotypes, to empower , build firm cultural identity, and to understand and accept people from different cultural backgrounds more easily. Food is a universal language and it connects people, so people open up and share what really makes them without preconceived prejudices. Also through food we find a lot in common with others. You can prepare your traditional food and invite others to try, you can also organize a group of 3,4,5 invites each other every week in order to try different food and meet different customs. You can take turns, compete, vote or just prepare relaxed dinner in order to meet others and their cultural background.
