(Ελληνική λαϊκή) παράδοση εννοούμε τον πολιτισμό που δημιουργήθηκε ανά τους αιώνες και αποτελεί πλούσια πολιτισμική κληρονομιά για εμάς. Η παράδοση είναι τα λαϊκά δημιουργήματα που τα ονομάζουμε λαϊκό πολιτισμό όπως τα ήθη και έθιμα, δημοτικά τραγούδια, παραμύθια, η γλώσσα, οι θρησκευτικές παραδόσεις, γνωμικά και παροιμίες.
