Innovation (Καινοτομια)
Definition
Είναι η διαδικασία δημιουργίας ή εισαγωγής νέων ιδεών, μεθόδων, προϊόντων ή διαδικασιών. Με άλλα λόγια, είναι η διαδικασία ανακάλυψης νέων τρόπων για να γίνουν τα πράγματα και στη συνέχεια η εφαρμογή τους προκειμένου να δημιουργηθεί κάτι νέο. Είδη καινοτομίας: προοδευτική καινοτομία (μικρές αλλαγές ή βελτιώσεις που γίνονται σε ένα υπάρχον προϊόν ή διαδικασία), γνωστή και ως σταδιακή καινοτομία,ριζική καινοτομία (πλήρης αναμόρφωση ενός υπάρχοντος προϊόντος ή διαδικασίας), διασπαστική καινοτομία (δημιουργία κάτι εντελώς νέου που μπορεί να μεταμορφώσει πλήρως έναν κλάδο, διαταράσσοντας το status quo).
